[Alpha Biz= Ellie Kim] SEOUL, May 26 — LG Household & Health Care is pursuing the sale of its beverage subsidiary Haitai HTB as part of efforts to streamline its portfolio and refocus on its core beauty business.
According to industry sources, advisor Samjong KPMG has distributed teaser materials to potential buyers, formally launching the sale process. The expected deal value is around KRW 300 billion, reflecting the unit’s recent financial performance.
Haitai HTB, known for products such as pear beverages and coconut drinks, reported revenue of KRW 374.1 billion and an operating loss of KRW 10.1 billion last year.
LG Household & Health Care is seeking to divest non-core assets to secure capital and strengthen profitability in its beauty segment, signaling a broader strategic shift toward higher-margin businesses.
